All Versions - How to update Microsoft Flight Simulator
Most Microsoft Flight Simulator updates require two downloads to successfully run the newest version. Updates usually consist of an update to the simulator application that can be downloaded via the Microsoft Store, and simulator content which can be downloaded via the in-game content manager.
To update the application, which will then allow you to update the simulator content after launching the game, please follow the steps below:
1) Open the Microsoft Store app on your system.
2) Click on the 3 dots in the top right corner and click "My Library"
3) Find "Microsoft Flight Simulator" in the list and click directly on the title
4) You will now be taken to the Microsoft Flight Simulator store page. Click the 3 dots next to the "Play" button and then click "Update".
Notice: If
the update button does not show, please download, search and open the "Xbox" app
on your PC. Once opened, please check the page again to see if the
update option is now displayed.
Microsoft Flight Simulator should now be updated. Once complete, you can launch the simulator and proceed with the content manager update.
